The Visionary Leader දුරදිග දකින දේශපාලකයා
A pioneering figure who became Sri Lanka's first Minister of Youth Affairs and Employment at age 29. He transformed the National Youth Services Council into one of South Asia's largest youth development institutions, establishing 23 divisions including youth societies, vocational training, and cultural programs. His leadership in education and industrial development has left a lasting impact on Sri Lanka's progress. වයස 29 දී ශ්රී ලංකාවේ ප්රථම තරුණ කටයුතු හා රැකීරක්ෂා අමාත්යවරයා ලෙස පත්වී, ජාතික තරුණ සේවා සභාව දකුණු ආසියාවේ විශාලතම තරුණ සංවර්ධන ආයතනයක් බවට පත් කළේය. තරුණ සමාජ, වෘත්තීය පුහුණුව සහ සංස්කෘතික වැඩසටහන් ඇතුළු අංශ 23 ක් ස්ථාපිත කරන ලදී. අධ්යාපන හා කාර්මික සංවර්ධනය සඳහා ඔහුගේ නායකත්වය ශ්රී ලංකාවේ ප්රගතියට සදාකාලික බලපෑමක් ඇති කර ඇත.

An exceptional scholar who left an indelible mark at Oxford University, becoming the first Sri Lankan President of the Oxford Union in 1958. He earned distinguished degrees from Oxford and Harvard, where his research thesis received an unprecedented grade. His vision transformed Sri Lanka's ports and education system, establishing the Mahapola Scholarship scheme that continues to support university students today. ඔක්ස්ෆර්ඩ් විශ්ව විද්යාලයේ අමිහිරි සලකුණක් තැබූ විශිෂ්ට විද්වතෙකි, 1958 දී ඔක්ස්ෆර්ඩ් සංගමයේ පළමු ශ්රී ලාංකික සභාපති විය. ඔක්ස්ෆර්ඩ් සහ හාවඩ් විශ්වවිද්යාලවලින් විශිෂ්ට උපාධි ලබා ගත් අතර, ඔහුගේ පර්යේෂණ නිබන්ධනය අසාමාන්ය ශ්රේණියක් ලබා ගත්තේය. ඔහුගේ දැක්ම ශ්රී ලංකාවේ වරාය හා අධ්යාපන පද්ධතිය පරිවර්තනය කළ අතර, අදටත් විශ්වවිද්යාල සිසුන්ට සහය වන මහපොළ ශිෂ්යත්ව ක්රමය ස්ථාපිත කරන ලදී.
